What You Need to Know BEFORE You Get Started on eBay.
So you\’ve decided that you want to get started as a seller on eBay. There are a few things that you really need to know before you go and throw yourself in at the deep end.
What to Sell.
First off, you need to know what it is you\’re going to sell: what\’s your speciality? You\’ll do far better on eBay if you become a great source for certain kind of products, as people who are interested in those products will come back to you again and again. You won\’t get any loyalty or real reputation if you just sell rubbish at random.
When you think about what to sell, there are a few things to consider. The most important of these is to always sell what you know. If you try to sell something that you just don\’t know anything about then you\’ll never write a good description and sell it for a good price.
You might think you\’re not especially interested in anything, but if you think about what kind of things you usually buy and which websites you go to most often, I\’m sure you\’ll discover some kind of interest. If all else fails mention it to your friends and family: they\’ll almost certainly say \”Oh, well why don\’t you sell…\”, and you\’ll slap your forehead.
Out of the things you know enough about, you should then consider which things you could actually get for a good enough price to resell, and how suitable they would be for posting. If you can think of something of that you\’re knowledgeable about and it\’s small and light enough for postage to be relatively cheap, then that\’s great!
Don\’t worry if you think the thing you\’re selling is too obscure – it isn\’t. There\’s a market for almost everything on eBay, even things that wouldn\’t sell once in a year if you stocked them in a shop. You\’ll probably do even better if you fill a niche than if you sell something common.
Tax and Legal Matters.
If you earn enough money, you should be aware that you\’re going to have to start paying tax – this won\’t be done for you. If you decide to sell on eBay on a full-time basis, you should probably register as a business.
Prepare Yourself.
There are going to be ups and downs when you sell on eBay. Don\’t pack it in if something goes a little wrong in your first few sales: the sellers who are successful on eBay are the ones who enjoy it, and stick at it whatever happens.
Anyone can sell on eBay, if they believe in themselves – and if you do decide it\’s not for you, then the start-up costs are so low that you won\’t really have lost anything.
If you\’re ready to start selling, then the next thing you need to know is the different auction types, so you can decide which ones you will use to sell your items. Our next email will give you a guide.
Is email marketing useful?
When you’re marketing a product that people don’t know they want, is email marketing a useful tool? Good product and the boss wants results, but small budget for it of course…
If you have no prior relationship with the email receipients, NO.
Because basically you'll be spamming them — and that could lead to your website or ISP to be blacklisted. Or worse, get sued for violating the CAN-SPAM Act. You'll be starting off on the wrong foot
If you want to do email marketing, understand the spam laws. Then start building your list. Or buy into email lists of others – there are companies that offer solo mailing ads to their email subscribers and you can rent their list for a fee.

Ebay Explained-bringing Buyers and Sellers Together
Six years ago, the thought of buying a car online was unheard of. But, on August 8th, 2006, eBay announced that its TWO MILLIONTH passenger car had been sold.
In its infancy, eBay was considered more of a âclassified adsâ or âgarage saleâ type of portal, where people could trade goods and services with each other. Oh, how times have changed. Today, eBay is the fifth most visited website in the U.S., and provides the basis for the easiest way to make money online. I mean, where else can you start an honest business with absolutely no startup cash?
People around the world spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on eBay each and everyday, looking for everything from cell phone cases to pool tables. And sellers are raking in the profits – everyone from the cream of the crop PowerSellers to the eBay hobbyist. Among them are thousands of people who use eBay to make a full-time income.
eBay Explained: Simply Put
Letâs look at eBay in a more basic sense. Thanks to the wonder of the Internet, eBay provides a platform for anyone to sell an item to anyone in the world. By implementing an auction-style format, sellers benefit by getting a fair market value for their product which is driven by buyers’ bids. The buyers benefit as well, often times getting a large discount off of the item’s normal retail price. While eBay did start off as a âflea marketâ type of site, it has now grown to include many successful online businesses today, selling new, brand-name items at drastically reduced prices.
eBay’s foundation is built on trust – the trust between buyer and seller. The more trustworthy the eBayer, the better their “reputation”. This reputation is quantified as an eBayer’s feedback score. Each time you transact business with another eBayer, whether buying or selling, you are given the opportunity to post your feedback of the other party. Generally, the higher the feedback score, the more trust you can put into them when considering doing business with them.
Corporate Blogging: Do’s And Don’ts
The blogging phenomenon has started to make companies view the potential benefits of corporate blogging. They all agree that blogs achieve a mass media effect through the high level of networking in the blogosphere wherein news disseminates very rapidly. The blogosphere (online community of blogs and their writings) has heralded a new communication tool that can influence public opinion of a company. However, companies are slow to react to the growing credibility of corporate blogs as communication channels.
A recent list of Fortune 500 company blogs shows that only 5% of the United States’ corporations have joined the blogging arena. Companies are treading this still unfamiliar territory with caution and skepticism. Company executives, public relations people and legal experts are just starting to figure out how they can utilize the potential of business blogs without subjecting themselves especially their companies to possible complications. Indeed, some companies are hesitant to plunge into the “scary” world of blogging for fear of encountering legal and business risks inherent in blogging such as libel, slander, lawsuits and disclosure of confidential and proprietary information.
Despite the fear, some industry leaders like Microsoft, IBM, Sun Microsystems and General Motors, to name a few, have dived headlong into corporate blogging. These companies recognize that a blog is an immensely effective yet low cost way to boost corporate communications and marketing objectives and at the same time connect with customers and prospects.
Basically, a blog (short for weblog) is published with easy to use software that enables a blogger (blog author) to create and update blog pages from which he can express his thoughts on a particular subject. Written article on a blog is called a “post” and can be linked to other blogs, websites, news features, photo images and audio files. Links added to the text of blog posts allow blog content to be indexed and accessed by popular search engines such as Technorati and then disseminated in the web.
A corporate blog makes it easy for readers, be they customers or prospects, to find the latest and most accurate information about its new products and services. It can help achieve customer familiarity with the company products or services. Through the corporate blog, a company can converse directly with customers and prospects. Two-way communication creates trust and builds customer relationships. A corporate blog is the perfect choice for interacting with existing and potential clients. Corporate blogging serves as a channel for a company and its customers to meet on common ground and to know each other more. A corporate blog allows a company to closely track where and under what condition its products or services are being discussed online. Through the corporate blog, a company can keep an ear to the ground to hear what is being said about the company and speaking up when the situation calls for it. A more personal or understated benefit of a corporate blog is that it gives a human face to a perceived faceless and detached business entity. A corporate blog conjures images of people who are passionate about their products or services and are eager to engage customers and prospects.
It is a risky world out there and the blogosphere is no exception. For companies who are contemplating on setting out into the world of corporate blogging, it is in your best interests to have knowledge of some basic dos and don’ts of corporate blogging.
First on the agenda is do determine whether your company needs a corporate blog. A blog might be inappropriate for your company. Not all corporate cultures can tolerate the open, direct communication inherent to make a corporate blog successful. There are instances where blogs could not be reconciled with business practices and regulations. Clearly, there are risks to consider. Risks lie mainly in the content and the character or tone of comments which admittedly can only be censored to a limited degree.
If a corporate blog can fit your company culture, selecting the individual or employee who will write your blog is doubtless to say the most important decision. An ideal corporate blogger is one who is an expert in his field. He should also write with passion and sincerity. The object of your blog is to engage your customers and prospects in conversation and the most effective way to start a conversation is to be sincere and honest in your blog while writing about topics that are important to your company. He should have good writing skills. More importantly, he should be one who is respected by his peers and reacts calmly to outbursts. Blogging is an intense medium. The individuals who will blog for your company should be the ones who can keep their cool despite critical comments. Most likely, the ideal individual is not your CEO. Corporate speak won’t thrive in the blogosphere.
In corporate blogging, goals/missions are of prime importance. For a blog to yield value, it has to be created with specific goals in mind. Some of these goals may be to increase company credibility, enhance customer service and interaction, and give customers a peek of the behind-the-scenes “feel” of the corporate culture, showcase new products or services and more. The important thing is to be clear about your goals. You have to be sure about what you are trying to get done and stick to them. As with any corporate undertaking, you also need to periodically evaluate how well you are meeting these goals. If blogging is proving to be futile, then make changes. If it still does not work, then discontinue blogging.
Do take time to know your customers or prospects. Find out what your audience care about, what they are interested in. You have to identify what their needs are and what service you can perform for them. To get their attention, work out a way to participate in a conversation credibly. To be credible, come up with worthwhile content – ideas, insights, news and information. Content need not be long but should be interesting. Corporate blogs should not veer away from its chosen categories or topics. This is not to say you cannot be personal in your blog posts because you should, but the audience you are trying to connect with do not want to read through your blog if it is injected with a litany of personal rumblings.
Do engage your audience in lively and substantial conversations. Take into account what they say and reply to their comments. Respond in a professional and businesslike manner whether the comment is positive or negative. Allowing comments from your audience will definitely mean some complaints and criticisms. Don’t take them personally. Respond honestly and your company credibility will rise. Allowing audience to make comments is a distinct characteristic of blogs. Openness is important for successful blogging. That said, use a feedback filter or comment moderation to monitor and control comments and delete comment spam (useless comments).
For a blog to accomplish its mission, do update regularly. Post frequently and consistently, daily or weekly, at least. Do be generous with your links. Linking is one reason why blogging has become a popular online communication medium. The best corporate blogs, more often than not, have lots of links in each blog post.
Do draw up a set of corporate blogging policies. Set limits on what information can be made public. Make clear what is allowed and what is not. Legal issues crop up in blogging. It is better to have some safety nets. In drafting blogging policies, it is advisable to do some research on it and publish proposed policies to get some feedback.
As for what not to do, do not close down existing employee blogs. More often than not, an employee is already writing a blog. It might be full of grievances about the recent spate of oil increases or it could be snapshots of a relaxing vacation in the Maldives. Maybe this employee is singing praises of the company’s new product. Why not engage this employee blogger in a dialogue about what your corporate blog aims to achieve. Don’t wait for a crisis to break out before creating a corporate blog. It takes time to see potential results of blogging. Don’t keep your corporate bloggers anonymous or hidden behind some make-believe characters. The audience will know and it will have detrimental effects.
Lastly, a blog is not a miracle cure. It will not single-handedly turn your distressed company around. Corporate blogging should be incorporated with other marketing and communication tools to achieve desired results.
Joint Ventures – your Unlimited Opportunity©
“He who has a thing to sell, and whispers it into a well, is not as apt to make a dollar, than he who climbs a tree and hollers.”
This information is based on my experience over many years of doing business successfully in Africa, Canada and the United Sates, using the leverage of Joint Ventures, incorporating the Mastermind, Strategic Alliances and Barter to do business and create value and wealth with no money and no risk. Tried and tested, proven in the field with thousands of business owners, these principles work on one condition: You can only succeed in Joint Ventures with people who are honest, professional, smart and disciplined. Once you have found people like that, JV’s can open the doors to unlimited wealth and success for you.
Joint Ventures work when people realize that we don’t have to own skills, money, employees, inventory or other resources in order to do business, create value and make money. And it can be done VERY FAST if we use existing resources.
Your business can skyrocket to new levels of performance and profitability using Joint Ventures. The purpose of Joint Ventures is to access new markets, grow your business and access new competencies, while leveraging your hidden assets and business partnering to optimize sales and profits. Don’t create competencies; borrow them. Don’t compete; partner. Two companies essentially spawn a new company. One plus one equals three through synergistic and exponential growth. Joint Ventures inject new energy, excitement, commitment, loyalty, purpose, optimism, enthusiasm, creativity and fun into businesses. This increases value and thus profits. From Proctor and Gamble, Wal-Mart and Pfizer, to Sony, Tom’s Corner Cafe and Bert’s Dog Grooming, business owners are discovering the magic of Joint Ventures. In fact, you don’t even need a business, a product or a service to make money from Joint Ventures.
If I was to add Bob’s dog grooming services to Alan’s Animal Hospital and everyone (me, included) got a piece of the action, I could literally start earning money immediately. The distribution channel is already in place. The overhead is already paid for. This is incremental business with the corresponding high profit margin. All Alan has to do is offer each of his clients the option to use Bob’s dog grooming services. He could hand them a discount voucher or merely a flyer. That is additional business for Bob, with no cost of sales (acquisition cost) at all. Bob has already paid salaries, rent and other overhead, so it’s found money for him. He pays you and Alan a commission on all the business thus generated. Everyone wins. This money is 100% profit in Alan’s hands. And at no risk, because you set it all up.
Joint Ventures can be very simple or more involved, but they usually cost very little to set in place, because most of the infrastructure already exists. If I sell landscaping, I can piggy-back my service on a realtor’s services. Or I can TRIANGULATE that deal I don’t have to own the landscaping service or be a realtor to make money from that JV.
“Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe and enthusiastically act upon, must inevitably come to pass” Paul. J. Meyer.
Napoleon Hill educated millions on the power of the Mastermind. He said: “The ‘Master Mind’ may be defined as: ‘Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.’ No individual may have great power without availing himself of the ‘Master Mind.’”
“We do not conquer mountains, nor tame elements. The true conquest lies in penetrating the mental barriers; those self-imposed limitations that we carry in our minds.” -Sharon Wood (First North American woman to the summit of Mt. Everest)
Together, we can do amazing things.
Tap into other peoples’ goodwill, database, capital, time, distribution channels, sales efforts, everything. Upsell existing customers on a new, additional product or service. The sky’s the limit.
Do you have or control anything that other JV partners would want?
The KEY is finding Good, Honest, Smart people. Start with people you know and trust: NEER: Naturally Existing Economic Relationships.
Talk in the other person’s interests, not your own:
When we understand that people are basically self-interested and that they don’t care about what you want, but rather about what they want, we should change our approach. Instead of thrusting your business card at someone and telling them how great you are and begging for their money, smart operators think about what THEY want.
Imagine your response if someone was to approach you with the following pitch:
“What can I do to help you achieve your goals? How can I use my resources and the resources and hidden assets of my network of associates, friends, family, customers and vendors, to help you? How can I utilize my distribution channels, relationships, underutilized assets, salespeople, personnel and equipment, to generate more business for you?” I’m sure very few people, if any, have approached you in that way, right?
By the same token, you could approach someone with this offer: “If I bring you access to markets, prospects, buyers, customers, advertising, that you never had and I turnkey it all, can I have 50% of the profit?”
You’re offering Found money incremental profits and no upfront costs or risk.
If you want to open the door to JV’s with successful people, you have to differentiate your approach. They’re being hit on multiple times every day, but few if any are using this approach. Do your homework; study their websites, Google them, do your research and due diligence and be well prepared for your meeting. Forget about what you want and concentrate on looking for ways to benefit them. You will definitely get their attention. That’s why my website is called, DollarMakers.com
Let’s look at some FREE options for promoting and selling services and products:
Remember, you don’t even have to own a business to make money from JV’s, but it does help to have one.
1. Use your own, or others’, E Newsletters (e-zines). The two e-zines that I write (Eagle Attitude and Entrepreneur Newsletter) each reach over 6,000 people internationally every week. My cost to have an e-zine sent out every week is only $50 per month! Regular information that is actually READ, ids a powerful communication and selling tool. Use others’ e-zines I write for someone else’s e-zine that reaches 20,000 people per week. That’s great free exposure for me. Other people use my articles free of charge, in exchange for displaying my contact information and giving me credit for the writing.
2. Use a BLOG mine works well for me, and I use my e-zine articles on it. It’s FREE!
3. Use a website. www.jvwisdom.com has made me hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales.
4. Give away free reports and e books like this one free advertising and you get to create massive credibility. (Given that you know what you’re talking about.)
5. Give away or sell audio CD’s, or have them available free of charge in audio streaming on your website.
6. Give away free CD’s and charge for Shipping and Handling to cover your costs and even make a profit. Team up with others who already have CD’s made. Use my CD’s to market your business. I can show you how to do that. Use other peoples’ skills, competencies and resources.
7. Offer to convert other people’s inactive customers into active customers for an on-going piece of the action. This idea, alone, can be worth a fortune to you, when you consider the amount of customer attrition going on.
8. Piggy-back your product or someone else’s product, on to existing sales streams and have someone else’s sales team sell your products and services as an add-on to their existing sales.
9. Convert unconverted leads or triangulate the deal. Switch leads between two realtors and take a piece of the action.
10. Find people who have products they can’t move, get the products on consignment and sell them through other people distribution channels on consignment! No risk.
11. Create multiple add-on sales options wedding planners, lube centers, webmasters, courier services and home improvement services are great for this.
12. Buy and resell advertising space and / or services.
13. Offer Free Seminars either you do them or have someone else present them.
14. Sell Bill’s CD’s on consignment through Jack’s gas stations.
15. Free Conference Calls are very powerful selling tools. Interview experts and they will help you sell. You don’t need any skills or money use other peoples’ skills time, energy and money. Bundle your products with someone else’s every time they sell a course, they can include your CD’s!
16. Join forces with your competitors together you can accomplish a lot more.
17. Share advertising space, mailings, seminars, radio and TV time and database communication.
18. Use Gift Vouchers give away samples of other peoples’ services and take a piece of the resulting, ongoing business. Carpet cleaning, accounting, consulting, car services,
Always ask yourself, “What does the other party REALLY, REALLY want? What is his or her HOT BUTTON? And always ask them, “What will it take?”
Simple Examples:
1. I gave a restaurant owner 400 free paper placemats, each including some nice graphics and interesting information, PLUS a pitch for my business broking services and my contact information. I also gave him a gumball machine full of gum, with an advertisement for my business services right on top of it. He will get paid a generous commission on any resulting sales.
2. With my friend, Antonio, we created an amazing marketing package for small businesses including 11 CD’s, a powerful marketing program worth $900, plus six months of conference calls and a two day convention in Vegas, all of which sells for just $695.
3. I’m not a realtor, but I recently earned a few thousand dollars on a simple referral to realtor. I do the same with websites, cars, you name it. I don’t need an office or employees and I can work form anywhere in the world where I have access to a telephone and the internet.
I have been arranging JV deals since I was at high school. I was seldom at risk and my business has been thriving for 18 years because of this simple, yet highly effective mindset.
If you qualify, I can show you how to create a joint venture with me, using your existing resources, in one hour. It’s easy to do and it works well, with virtually no cost or risk. It’s a true Win/win deal.
BARTER is a form of Joint Venture.
Leverage and barter underutilized goods, resources, services, capacity, raw materials, storage space, a sales team, personnel, intangible assets like distribution capabilities, etc.
In the 1970’s, Chrysler had 10,000 small cars they couldn’t sell. They exchanged those cars for radio & TV credits all over the country, to be used over a five year period, and traded the cars at full retail. (Window sticker) Their money was tied up in the cars. They weren’t spending cash on the advertising. The radio stations were selling unsold, future time and getting the cars right away.
Chrysler took the advertising credits to the bank and got money on them to pay for the manufacture of more cars that were sold with the advertising, so the bank financed the whole program! The radio and TV credits appreciated in value over the five years! That’s leverage.
Restaurants a $10 meal costs around $3. The restaurant can barter that for $10 meal for $10 worth of radio advertising or whatever, so they’re saving 70%! Plus there are incremental sales people buy drinks, tip waiters, new customers are generated that continue to spend money. The gift certificates are called SCRIP in the Barter business. The advertising they bought brings in more customers. A lot of the meal vouchers are never cashed in this is called BREAKAGE. Remember, the overhead is already covered electricity, server salaries, uniforms, telephone, etc., is already paid for, so the profit is high.
A commercial printing business has staff and machines on hand but not is fully utilized. His only cost is the paper and ink. The rent and payroll is already paid. So he can produce printing very cheaply and trade it for things he needs now, without using cash.
Soft dollars and hard dollars: Trade TV sets that cost $300 at $1,000 retail, for hotel rooms that cost $7 and retail at $100. Both win. Soft Dollars are Barter Dollars and Hard Dollars is cash. Conserve your cash by setting up barter deals.
HOTEL EXAMPLE trade room for $100, cost is only $7.
If the average person spends $50 in other services that the hotel has, and your cost is only $7, you’ve made extra cash right away, plus many gift certificates never got utilized! AND you got 100% retail value in barter! And you can sell bartered goods and services for CASH.
A Beverley Hills hotel was bought out of Chapter 11 and immediately issued $3 million worth of rooms, food and drink credits to be used over a five year period. Scrip brokers bought it up for $1.5 million in cash. They cash converted future rooms.
Cash converting means trading for goods or services and then immediately selling those goods / services for cash.
Advertisers of a Shopping Mall set up a deal to pay people back the money they spent in the mall. “Prove you spent $1000 in the mall and we’ll give you $1,000 in cash!” This creates what we call THE FLOW it’s ongoing, resulting business from barter. Store owners in the mall happily paid for advertising because they knew that, this way, it was much cheaper they only paid for the cost of goods sold (They reimbursed the retail price) so this was cheap advertising it forced people to buy in the mall.
Dentists and doctors, chiropractors and consultants, couriers, web masters, writers and such trade or barter services. I know a dentist who traded dental work for radio advertising.
Instead of using cash and time, spend more time thinking about value and JV’s!
You can exchange apartments for services and pay your employees and vendors with barter and apartments,
Barter SCRIP is like printing money. It can be transferred and assigned – it’s legal tender.
Scrip Expiration dates the further out, the better there are many permutations. BREAKAGE is the barter credits which aren’t used up to 40%!
SET up a barter deal and take a piece of the action/ savings in cash or in scrip that you can convert to cash.
Remember: The key to successful JV’s is the people who are involved. Integrity, Professionalism, Punctuality, Accountability and Passion and Generosity are essential ingredients. JV’s is the way business is being done by smart people. Join us and take advantage of this wonderful tool.
Does Network Marketing Have a Future?
The Network Marketing industry has been around now for over 50 years. Do we see it as evolving and growing, or has it had its day?
Network marketing is simply direct sales, just one of the methods of marketing products and services. In many countries, Network Marketing is regulated by The Direct Selling Association. It is not a scam, scheme, pyramid or ponzi industry. Network Marketing or Multi-level Marketing (MLM) is a sensible way of getting product directly to the consumer, and a legitimate way for those doing the marketing to get paid. This is one of the simplest ways to earn a residual (passive) income.
Network marketing is one of the most rewarding home business opportunities today. The opportunity for success, happiness, wealth and freedom in the foreseeable future in Network Marketing is staggering. This business model has been around for over 50 years, so needless to say things have evolved since then. Our new technologies have unlocked the doors to a simpler business model that allows our modern communication and commerce systems to do a lot of the work for us. However, understand that Network Marketing is simple, but not necessarily easy.
MLM or network marketing is when you actually recruit other sales people into an organization or down line in order to sell products. And you as well as your recruits get paid on the amount of sales made. The products involved can be anything from tangible goods such as nutritional products, household goods, telecommunications services, self-education and internet tools just to name a few. The magic happens when you get the snowball effect, and others recruit people too. You can then end up with a large group so lots of your product is sold. Remember that nowadays you generally do not have to handle the product yourself, it can go straight to the customer if you wish. Even better are digital products and online services, so no delivery is needed at all. The customer gets their product instantly, very important in this age of instant gratification!
One of the key things to realize when choosing a company is to go for one with a product that is consumed on a regular basis, so you can get a recurring monthly sale. So nutritional supplements, or tools you need to use for an on-line business, or new educational materials mean that you get paid each month. And there you have your residual income. Very nice.
So the business of Network Marketing is growing, with more and more people looking for their own home based business. With the way the business world is heading, more job uncertainty, downsizing etc, people are realizing that they really do need to take care of their own future. It is no use relying on an employer or government to do this.
Network Marketing is becoming more widely known as a legitimate way to do business. Network Marketing is attracting people from all walks of life who have been able to build home businesses that generate unlimited earning potential, particularly with the advent of the internet and the amazing communication that this has opened up for us. For many, the chosen path to achieve freedom and unlimited income is online network marketing, or online MLM, as some people call it. Doing business online is one of the ways for you to earn income while staying at home.
This is important, because it really does allow you to do all your work from the comfort of your home. Traditional Network Marketing involves holding meetings in many locations, whereas nowadays we can teleconference, video conference, use web-casting technology, talk on Skype for example. You get the idea. Of course, you can go out and meet people if you like, attend company conventions, go to listen to expert speakers. This is your own choice. The point is that you can really do business from home. I love this because I get to stay home with my family.
So Internet based network marketing is a potent recipe that can lead to your financial success.
Whilst building your business on-line, you can also take advantage of the marketing tools and systems that are available. By becoming an affiliate marketer, you can purchase a tool, become an affiliate for free, and sell that product to others for a commission. This opens up another potentially huge revenue opportunity. There is a vast number of systems, list building tools, traffic generation tools, advertising methods and advice available.
Making a decision on the purchase or use of software for a direct selling or network marketing company can be a difficult process. There are many offers on the internet for software or other programs that can help you build your network marketing team downline.
The future of Network Marketing has no boundaries. Get started today and take control of your financial future. The Internet has connected people globally and this network is definitely the best marketing medium of today and also of the future. There are approximately a billion people with global access to the Internet, with millions logging on each day, and this number is growing fast.
The Influence of Baby Boomers is recognized as very significant, and their wants and needs are driving huge growth in certain industries, including health and wellness as well as financial services, personal development and investment. Future trends are lining up worldwide for network marketing to continue growing exponentially in the new millennium.

Why Google Adsense Offers Tremendous Opportunities For Your Business
When it comes down to anything happening online, Google is certainly ‘king of the castle’ it would seem. As well as stamping its authority for being the internets most powerful search engine utilized by surfers internationally, Google also has additional strings to its bow and provides services for email, more commonly known as gmail, sitemaps, news feeds and is even a provider for hosting it’s latest venture, Google Video where visitors can upload their videos so that others may view them online.
However, one of Google’s trump cards is Google Adsense, which is a multi billion dollar money spinner. The way Google adsense works is very straight forward and so simple that many entrepreneurs are probably wondering why they didn’t think of the service themselves. Google Adsense is essentially a method for merchants to raise additional income by way of displaying advertisements on their site. What makes it so unique though is that the merchant is displaying not his own ads but those of alternative companies.
The ads that are displayed will be determined by the content on the webpage that the ads are to be displayed on, so for example, if you own a plumbing business then it is highly likely that all of the ads being displayed will be to advertise the services of companies involved with plumbing.
That’s Crazy! Why Send Your Visitors & Customers To The Competition?
Well yeah, on the face of it I can see why you’d be thinking that, it does seem a little unorthodox to want to drive your traffic away but get this, every time somebody clicks on one of the ads displayed on your website, guess what? You get paid for it, over and over again. If your website gets lots of traffic to it and your visitors like the ads displayed because the ads offer something of interest to them then it’s highly likely that your CTR or ‘click through ratio’ will be very high, meaning you stand to really make some serious money from Google Adsense.
So How Much Do I Make Per Click?
This is how clever Google Adsense is as it utilizes a system of ’smart pricing’ whereby it will not pay you a set fee per ad but rather will decide your payout depending on the content on your site, the relevancy of the click, where the visitor was referred from, whether the click was valid or invalid, and many other considerations. Google has a very advanced algorithm to substantiate this data and there is no easy way to try and see what makes it tick.
What If I Want To Advertise Myself?
That’s what’s great about Google Adsense because it is a win win situation for both advertiser and publisher alike. Perhaps you run a business and your website is very recent and you have hardly any traffic coming to your site, If this is the case then you can very easily become an advertiser and run your ads on other content related sites, thereby reversing the roles and driving targeted traffic to your site and increasing your exposure and also increasing your chances of making more sales etc. Google has a service known as Google Adwords and it is simply a case of signing up for the program and then creating a campaign to display your ads. For this you will be charged every time a visitor clicks on one of your ads or you may opt to be charged by the amount of impressions your ad receives. There are a number of options available so it makes sense to do a little research before making your campaign live.
Whether you choose to be a publisher or an advertiser, Google Adsense is so easy to implement and can be functional in minutes as in most cases it is simply a task of copying and pasting some very basic html code that is provided by Google Adsense.
If you want to drive much more traffic to your website or you’re a publisher and you want to make easy additional cash for sitting back and waiting for someone to click on one of the ads on your site, then Google Adsense just may be the solution to your current needs.
WordPress Theme Kubrick K2 Review
WordPress is a free, well-structured blog publishing software. One of its sophisticated features is the Kubrick template. It is an easy to install and customizable open source template. Open source is a programming code that can be read, viewed, modified and distributed by anyone who wants to. Open source allows the user to make whatever changes he sees fit and releases the results as long as it is under the same terms as he received it. Kubrick comes bundled with WordPress as the default style.
WordPress Theme Kubrick K2 is an advanced template, a WordPress modification. It is developed by Michael Heilemann, Chris J. Davis, Zeo, Steve Lam and Ben Sheratt. It is sort of an improved version of Kubrick. WordPress handles logistics such as verifying users, receiving and sending data to and from the database and provides the user with the backend administration interface. K2, on the other hand, is the front end of WordPress. Its main job is to display data fetched through WordPress in the exact way at the exact time. K2 is what reaches the readers of a blog. K2 is a notch higher than the basic Kubrick because it serves not only the readers but the administration of the blog as well.
Upon installation of WordPress, the default theme is Kubrick. Say, after you have posted a couple of entries, you soon realized that you need to keep better track of the comments left by readers. To solve the problem, you download Brian’s Latest Comments plug-in. A plug-in is a programming script that adds functionality to your blog. This feature enhances already available feature or add them to your blog. WordPress offers an easy way to allow plug-ins to your blog. From the Administration Panel, there is a Plug-in Page. Just upload the plug-in to WordPress Plug-in Directory. Simply activate it from the Plug-ins Management SubPanel and the plug-in is ready. If you want to change your default style to K2, it takes care of everything. It can support a range of widely used plug-ins. All you have to do is upload and activate the plug-in, sit back and watch it work.
For a unique and beautiful looking blog, K2 has sub-themes called CSS styles. CSS or Cascading Style Sheets is a programming language that specifies how a blog page is presented. It allows web designers to create formatting and layout for a blog independently of content. CSS files are placed in a “styles” directory. Any CSS file in the directory can be selected from a drop down menu in the K2 “Options Panel” and can then be used to overwrite the default CSS in K2’s styles.css. You can also distribute your own CSS styles for other K2 users. K2 will automatically show the information about your style in the footer of the blog using it.
In K2’s “Options Panel” which is under “Presentation” you can also upload and manage custom headlines aside from selecting CSS styles. You can write a blurb or a short publicity notice about yourself for the front page and turn the AJAX features on and off. AJAX is a programming language that allows your Web browser to communicate with the server without having to reload the blog page you are currently viewing. Through AJAX, it becomes easier and faster to work with Web applications.
K2 has several major AJAX-powered features. Live commenting enables readers to leave comments without having to reload the page. LiveSearch does not require set up or code editing. You can type your search query and immediately have the result. LiveSearch integrates directly with Rolling Archives, a navigation method which allows you to navigate through archives and search results without having to reload the page. K2’s JavaScript code is less likely to break across browsers and hides complicated mechanics behind readable code. LiveSearch and Rolling Archives are highly customizable and can even be brought to your own template if you want to. All these can be done in the Options Page.
Sidebar Modules also comes bundled with K2. This allows you to totally customize your sidebar whatever way you deem best. Because the code is modular, created with standardized units, you can either write your own modules or allow plug-in writers to supply their own. You can freely drag and drop modules onto and off the sidebar. The Sidebar Modules also support WordPress Widgets. K2 also includes an Asides feature. If you want to use Matt’s Asides, K2 can implement them for you plus allows you to choose whether you want them inline or on the sidebar. If you want to have comments on a steady blog page or draw up an archives page, K2’s page templates make these easy.
K2 also provides you with relevant edit links for posts and comments, welcomes back previous commenters and make sure the readers get all the information they need when they need them. K2 can detect multiple-user blogs and shows author only when multiple authors are available. K2 allows the comments of the author of an entry to be highlighted.
While K2 has great backend functionality, there are downsides or major stumbling points going against WordPress Theme Kubrick K2. For one, development is still in the alpha stage, thus there are some pretty serious bugs to fix. Refrain from using K2 unless you understand what an alpha version is. There are likely to be plenty of bugs and the feature set and design are still in complete. In the alpha stage of development, each minor point release (i.e. 1.0 to 1.1) would mean significant update to the structure of the style. A letter increment (increase), on the other hand, (i.e. 1.1a to 1.1b) would mean a minor bug has been fixed on the previous release. A major increment (i.e. Alpha One to Alpha Two) would mean some major new features added or big changes to the code.
When the style reaches beta stage, there are only some minor improvements and bug fixes before the release, candidates should be feature complete and few bugs left only. Therefore, expect serious bugs as K2 is still in the alpha stage. There are a couple of bug fixes along the way so it is advised for anyone planning to upgrade to wait awhile for more bugs to be found and fixed before upgrading.
If you attempt to install the upgrade, strange errors occur when you play around with the Options Page. When you click on the sub-tab below the Presentation tab, a plain text that says “cannot load http://functions.php” error occurs. The Links Option Page does not work too. Links cannot be deleted. Hours of configuring K2 still proved futile. There is no blogroll and even the sidebar cannot be found. It is also such a bother having to move away from the main screen just to select a previous post one is looking for.
I guess all these downsides are to be expected as K2 is still in the development stage. Hopefully, a final version, more user-friendly, is in the can.
